here's our l'il crank-meister. he is wearing the shirt he had on yesterday, because he fell asleep early--we thought he'd be out for the night, so he didn't take his bath. well, we were wrong. he woke up, fitfully, around 10pm, and went back to sleep until about 12:30. then he was up until around 3am with derek. then he woke up at 6:30 in the morning. good grief!

a visit down to the library today. we picked up 2 backyardigan dvd's to watch.
last night i apparently talked in my sleep and was saying, 'yip, yip, yip, yip! doin' the chinese polka! yip, yip, yip, yip!' [all this, according to derek]

watching the backyardigans INTENTLY. this kid seriously loves shows with songs. i thought matthew liked them; but dashiell LOVES them. this episode, 'the polka party palace' has been on demand (on our cable) and was the only one there, so we've watched it about 20 times at least this past week. it features polka music.
"yip, yip, yip, yip! doin' the cowboy polka! yip, yip, yip, yip!'
dashiell's also been fighting with those darned molars...

we got this little siberian husky nintendog from toys r us for matthew. he's been dog-crazy again ever since. he left him guarding his bed while he's gone to his dad's for the next 2 days.
i promised him we'll get a 'real' dog when we move into the house (whenever that will be).
