dashiell gets into so many things, i can't believe it most days. yesterday, he stood up and banged the side of his face on the bottom of the table. that's the big owwie you see on the side of his face. later, for dinner, i was eating some soup (which i didn't know derek had heated up so much), and i was actually fending the baby off...he got his hand on the spoon, tipped the bowl over and stuck his hand right into it and yelled. and i mean he yelled. it spilled on my leg, which i then knew was waayyy too hot, and screamed for derek to come QUICK. we ran his hand under cold water immediately...he was still screaming...but then not more than 30 minutes later, he was bouncing around again.

i was finally able to make it to a game this week. missed the one in pasadena (we lost), and last week was canceled due to the rain. we lost 18-12, but it was still a good game!lining up on defense

i went out to target to get a birthday present, and i happened to see some nick jr matchbox cars. there was a car with the backyardigans, blue's clues, diego, dora, and...(can't remember the last one. oh well). just had to get them. so here's dashiell lining up his cars...

this is what happens to dashiell when i don't see what he's doing for one minute. he grabbed my pen and started drawing all over his face and feet. thankfully it was the type of ink that wiped right off with a baby wipe. what worried me more was that many of the marks were so close to his little eyes.
bad mommy, bad mommy.

oh yeah, and the picture is a bit blurry because he was coming right at me, trying to get the camera!

matthew's yearbook picture came in today. he's wearing a shirt that grandma lorraine brought back for him from africa. he had initially worn something else for school that day, but with only 5 minutes left before leaving, he remembered it was picture day and HAD to wear that shirt instead. so he quickly changed into it instead!
had a follow-up appointment at the doctors, after my week of bedrest. here's out little alien baby. viewed from the back, apparently. it's also a shot of his back (he turned a bit, so you can't really make out the spine in this picture).

then we took in another angels game. we lost! boo-hoo

noone sat in front of us, so dashiell thought he'd commandeer those seats. he crawled UNDER the seats to get through to those seats, by the way. then he tried to come back and got stuck.
we sat right next to to the gate to the bullpen. santana didn't fare too well and bootcheck came in (among others). here's bootcheck warming up...literally right next to us!

totally exciting. garrett anderson's hit for his 10th rbi game in a row...tied the angels' record tonight.

matthew's team played la mirada in their first game. they lost 12-38. it was soooo unbelievably hot, i'm surprised the boys didn't pass out. matthew was very hot throughout the game and i even wet a towel in ice water to put around his neck.
