dashiell fell asleep waiting for matthew, who was finishing up some homework
matthew said it was OK for dashiell to sleep with him. they did pretty well together last night! i only had to go in once because i heard dashiell moaning a bit (that darn cold/congestion) and had to rub his back a little. but i think he knew he was there with matthew, because before i went in the room i heard him calling for matthew repeatedly (who didn't hear him...hmmm, i wonder why?)

at the last minute, matthew wanted 'valentines' for his class. so we made little goodie bags with teddy grahams and he put a note that says, 'bear hugs, from matthew' on them. that's as good i can do on uber-short notice.

so yesterday was the jigsaw puzzle contest. this is the puzzle we worked on. (we didn't finish.) so after trying to piece most of it back together, and then some, this is what's left to do.
