brennan went to the garage mumbling something we couldn't (and still can't) figure out.

here's pretty much the whole thing. hopefully it loads and plays out ok.

derek says that he's wiping his hands on his shirt like grandpa does when he needs to clean them off. he does it quite often though! =)

wittmann olympics day at gahr hs

they were actually getting tested for running the mile at this point

after this, they headed back on the bus to return to school for the family lunch bunch. i had to go back to school myself. nana and the boys met matt there.

later that aftrernoon, matt's team played the dodgers.

i realized that i never took a picture of their banner until today.

bottom of the 5th. down 10-2. matt was the second batter up and hit an rbi double. he started a string of hits, that scored a total of 5 that inning.

they lost the game, but he did great!

i was spiking dashiell's hair this morning, and as usual, brennan wanted the same thing. he says, 'do hair, do hair!' until i spray his hair to wet it, then put some gel on it. this time i spiked all of it up in the middle -- which is hard to do because his hair is so much longer.

dashiell fell asleep on the couch while eating his snack. notice how brennan has the snack. once he was that big brother was sleeping, he took it from his hands.

barely got brennan saying this (might need to replay a couple times to hear him just right).

and just minutes before, he was saying it over and over and over (really loudly, too). i can't even write/spell how he says it.

stopped by home for lunch (since matt's teachers didn't need my help today). i got dashiell to lie down for quiet time, and this is how brennan chose to occupy his time.

after coming home from a pretty good 10miler with christina this morning, i wanted to take the boys out to pretend city. we hadn't been in a while (i wanted to go a couple of weekends ago, but something came up...what was it?!)

the boys had tons of fun. again. of course!

dashiell got derek and me drinks...we asked for water and he went to the middle one. then i asked for some juice, and he got it from the one on the left.

wha?!

then i asked for soda, and he got it from the one on the right.

so derek asked him which one was which. he said, 'this one is orange (juice), this one is water, and this one is soda!'

after nap-time (although dashiell didn't actually nap), they were a bit restless so we went out front to play. after that they came into the backyard and had their drink and snacks. it was a little windy, and dashiell (the big ham that he is) spent about 5 minutes letting the wind blow his snack bag off the table and going, 'ack!' and chasing after it, while brennan cracked up laughing.

he is totally going to be a class clown. yikes.

then brennan thought it'd be lots of fun smearing all the chocolate from his cookies onto his face. yummy.

brennan played in my car for a while. little did i know, my car would later DIE so that on monday morning, i had to take mom's car while she called aaa for me. thankfully matt was at his dad's so she didn't need to take the car out in the morning.
