Inaugural Griffith Park 1/2 Marathon (not trails) today
it was OK...
lots of turnarounds, which was kind of a pain...but the weather was nice and cool and didn't warm up until I got home.
went to big lots and found a couple of items good for our white elephant gift exchange at xmas time. took a pic and made a note of it in my phone so i can remember where i put it. =p

Mom and I spent about an got outside getting the lemons that were higher up and hard to reach. I even climbed up onto the wall and cut back the parts that were intruding onto the neighbors awning.

We took a walk to the library to see if we could find some more diary of a wimpy kid books (nope, all checked out) or Minecraft books (just one).

Ate at Five Guys burgers for lunch with mom. Should've gotten the kid-size burger. It was huge.
Not cheap though. Two burgers, fries to share and two drinks and it was almost $26!
But we didn't have to wait long like in a restaurant though (it was restaurant quality, IMHO)
Only thing I didn't like was that they didn't use fresh mushrooms for the grilled mushrooms. :(
Omg! One of my students wrote in his reflection that he feels the cognitive tutor has really helped him. Glad at least one kid thinks so...makes the time spent going to the lab worthwhile.

Went out for a 14mi run today, and finished just in time before it started to rain!
From the rain we got last month has sure changed the scenery out here. So much greenery!
It was so calm and peaceful and beautiful out there!

Jersey day at a school today. Dug out this old Joe Montana jersey from when he was playing with the KC Chiefs.
Trying to think back...I would've still been in college. Maybe I was working as a hostess still at Teasers, which was a sports bar. Must've gotten it to wear on Football Sundays.
Should've paired well with the signed football I got my 2nd year teaching at an auction (when I was at BMHS)...gave it to Steve. Should give him this too! :)
