I'm a good mommy, really I am. When I picked him up from daycare he had this scratch on his face from across his nose all the way over to his cheek. Looks as if another kids scratched him. =(
Then later at home (before having to leave for Open House at school), he used me as a ladder to get up onto the couch, and he was so proud and so happy that he had done that...standing up on the couch, facing the wall...then he bonked his head/face on the wall. I think it was the piece of moulding on the wall he hit, really. Anyhow. he got a cut on his left eyelid.
The picture above show him sleeping (finally). It totally looks as if he got beat up. We didn't do it!!! Poor thing. I tried to put some ice on it, but only managed a few seconds at a time. He really didn't want me to...

(A horrible iamge, I know...but I only had my phone with me...no real camera!)
Matthew had his Chapter Test for Math last Friday, on Fractions and Geometry. He was the only one to get a 100%!
Mrs. Forgione told me that the last question was really hard for most students: It said that if a pizza was cut into 8 pieces, and one person ate a quarter of it, and another person had 3 slices, how many slices were left?

It was "Hero Day" today in Room 17. The students all dressed up as the hero they researched about. Matthew was Walt Disney. He had his speech memorized (even Mrs. Forgione told me he knew his the best out of everyone), but he got a bit of stage fright. He read from his paper the whole time. That's okay! It was his first time speaking in front of the whole class, a room full of parents, and a visiting 2nd grade class!
After the first half of the speeches, the kids hosted some cookie treats outside, where the 'heroes' were available to answer any questions. In this picture, Matthew stands by his 'best friend' Vraj.
After all the 'heroes' made their speeches, they had a group picture.
