this was the first time i was able to see nana and brennan in their swim class! i was so excited to see watch him in the pool. =)
he likes kicking, but HATES being on his back

since it has been raining so much lately, dashiell hasn't been able to run off all his energy that he's got stored in his tiny little body. so nana treated matthew and dashiell to some bowling. i think this is the first time he's been since brennan was born! (i remember taking all 3 there when brennan was still teeny-tiny.)
dashiell got to use one of matthew's old balls. (it's mike!)

this was totally hilarious. after he'd throw the ball, this was his pose.

went on a hike this morning with christina and two other boy scout dads. we went to a state park by crystal cove. it took us about 3 1/2 hours for a 7.74mi hike. they wanted to check out the campsites for a future hike with the boys that need to practice for their grand canyon trip.

it was all pretty desert-y with the dead brush and stuff all around, but nice nonetheless.
i don't know if i'm cut out for hiking. my toe-sies hurt from the steep climb in the beginning.

this was her first race after having knee surgery 5 months and 2 days ago.
i'm so proud of her!!! (despite having been a meanie for the last 3 miles of the race...)

aha! i found a picture on the little camera.
this is brennan's first time on the potty. he wasn't afraid of the potty seat like dashiell was when he first sat on it (just to see what it's like).
he's even smiling!!
no, he didn't do anything while there. but he sat, and that was a biggie!
