boys went out to swim and dashiell started to place his clothes all nice and neat on the bench.

it was neat to watch him do this because he took such great care getting his undies to sit flat and nicely on top of everything.

brennan saw it and proceeded to do the same.

he says he has this owwie on his knee (any small red mark or blemish) and he has his dora band-aid on it.

he said he needed to put his leg up on a pillow in order to sleep.

brennan wasn't feeling good this morning at all.

he actually woke up last night moaning...he started to get a little warm.

definitely warm throughout the day.  after taking some medicine (reluctantly) he was able to fall asleep in his favorite spot.

crawled back to sleep here later...
3:14pm

 after taking some tylenol (again, reluctantly...with A LOT of lemonade sips in between) he was feeling better and playing and bouncing around

 mom had bowling, derek had to be online for his summer school class...
so christina went with me to go see jersey boys at segerstrom tonight!
we stopped by saddle ranch chop house for some dinner (a massive appetizer sampler platter that we shared, and couldn't finish)
it was happy hour with 50% off all appetizers and drinks...so it was worth it!

11:19pm brennan fell asleep out here again. =)

went to splash! la mirada with the kids and met allison there

they had some affordable season passes (summer only) and i figured with matt in sports most of the summer, if there are days (like today) where we don't have the whole day free to go to legoland, we'll just come here for a few hours.  

it's not very big or anything, but for a couple hours it'll do.  plus it's only 15 min away.

just before the first day of football summer camp!

i'm determined to help matt eat healthy and lose some of those extra pounds he's put on

ummm, the doc told us he has gained 80# in the last 2 years.  =(

so i baked him 3 chicken tenderloins, plus made some honey-glazed carrots.  he had a banana for dessert.

since i spent yesterday with the boys (not at school) i had to finish cleaning up and get my keys checked out before we left to go visit AE

whew.  done.

 then dashiell had his dentist appointment to get his teeth cleaned.  brenny wanted to tag along.

we went to legoland today, and we visited the new chima water park (it opened on memorial day)

this was cragger's swamp

we were the first ones out there; i even wondered if it was open

within a few short hours, there would be sooooo many people out there that it was way too crowded for me.  the original part of the water park wasn't as crowded, so we moved over there. 

this was the lion wave pool, which simulated the waves at the beach

 we spent almost our entire day at the water park area (10-3).  the last 2 hours we went on a few rides and they played in the duplo playground for a short while too.

we also went to the lego movie experience 

we spent some time in here, searching for the 7 unikitty's and 13 emmett's in the whole place.

on board the first leg of my flight home...

took the first shuttle from the hotel at 3:30am, which meant that i had to wake up at 2:30am to get ready and finish packing...ummm...that means i woke up 12:30am CA time.  sigh.

my flight was at 5:55am...

do i look awake enough?!  i slept on the ride to salt lake city.  

 a few minutes after getting home, mom called to say that brennan has his kindergarten performance!!
aw man, i had to hurry!

 when he noticed me sitting in the crowd, he was soooo happy!!!  =D  me, too!

last day of reading...with my table partner, jim sears.  such a calm, encouraging guy.  he teaches at 4 different schools (sort of0, his main one being a math teacher at cape cod academy (a k-12 school with 300 kids!), at umass, another local college, and an online course--or something like that.
