faculty end-of-the-year party tonight!
christina and i put together a 'retirement survival kit' for betty, who was retiring after 29 years with ABCUSD (and 38 years overall). i'm glad christina and i did this, because our dept chair did NOT plan for anything other than a card, signed by the department members.
i would have been embarrassed to be part of the math dept if that's all there was.
even if people don't like her that much, there's no way she shouldn't be honored tonight.
christina and i gave ourselves a high five for how well it went.
