it's hawaiian day at school today!!  =)

got the calculator onto it's backing and added on the screen.
realized that i have a black dress that i can attach it to instead of making a felt dress to wear over (like a smock).  i think it will work out well!!

temecula half marathon this morning

it was nice and cool and overcast during almost the entire run!

 woo-hoo!

pit stop at 'yogurt on top' to help us cool down in the palm springs heat

crazy me (and christina) drove back from palm springs to watch the football game

and then we drove back

it was also out homecoming game...and we won!

(however, matt didn't get to play)

i had just missed matt's tackle (i was apparently just walking in from the parking lot)

but i saw this, where he just missed...and rolled funny i guess.  

he ended up getting a cramp and needed to stretch it out...

christina and i headed out to palm springs for the CMC conference friday/saturday.

there was a street fair/farmer's market out there (every thursday evening, apparently)

just after we got our wristbands, checking out the photo op

 aah! at the 3 daytime treat stations:

 i love this! rest in lego pieces =)

 there were lots of halloween lego decorations all over the park.
we rode on the "ghost cruise" which had a scavenger hunt

 oh my!  the statue of liberty is taken over by giant spiders!

 more picture ops while waiting at treat stations

 there were various things like (from sponsors such as) snyder's pretzels, shutterfly (free photo magnet coupon), cheese puffs, clif z kids bar, candy, and then the "big" one was a lego speedorz!
so that's why they charge $20 for non-merlin pass members.
now i wonder why i haven't brought them here every year since we've had the passes.  oops.

(there were performers on stilts next to where i was taking the picture, but the line was too long) so we took our own

 it's pretty dark out now...

 at the end of the fireworks show, just as we had to battle the crowds back to our car
it was loads of fun!  i'll definitely take the kids back next year!!
