beautiful, yet foggy morning

my old high school classmate, andy was in town for a couple of days for another classmate's (kyoo choe) wedding.  he flew in friday night i think and was leaving later this afternoon.

we went for a run through chino hills and got to talk and catch up before he headed home.

 finally was able to take the 'detour' and run down "easy street" which was a short 0.3mi trail through to the other side.
it was fun!!  lots of shaded parts and a twisty single track lane, too

 after a much needed costco trip with mom, we stopped at red robin so that i could claim my free birthday-month burger
mom wanted one of their onion ring towers as an appetizer.
it was huge!

 i picked a royal red robin burger, medium rare.
wow, it was delicious!  or maybe i was just really hungry.  or both.
it had a fried egg on top!  it was amazingly good with the egg on top.  who would've known?  ok, maybe someone else knows.  certainly not me.
some protein on top of my protein for two good trail running days this weekend.  ;-)
yup, that's what i'll tell myself.
