getting comfy on out way to legoland for the day

 finally getting his face painted -- something he's wanted to do ever since he got his face painted for halloween at wittmann...

(she first started to paint kai, then she wiped it off and started over)

 we waited over 45 minutes to ride the zebra on the safari
(then later we waited in line for another 30 min to ride the giraffe)

 back to the aquarium!

whew! then the day was done.
the sun never came out once, so we never made it to the water park, even though we had our gear...
next time...
we went to panda express afterwards for some food before driving home at 5pm (they closed at 8pm though) and when we were there eating, he asked if we could go back to legoland.  i said OK, and said to keep on eating.
when we were back in the car and on the freeway, he asked, "mama, where are we going?" when i told him we were going home, he said, "but i want to go back to legoland!"
i had to tell a white lie and said that they were closing already...  =/  bad mama.
but within SIX minutes (i timed it) he was fast asleep.

problem is, he woke up later after we got home, and stayed awake for quite some time.  oh well.  at least it's summer.
