 the 'old' ipad2 is dead.  well, not quite dead.  let's say it's beaten and battered.  badly.
dashiell dropped it coming out of the car onto the driveway.
it turns on and everything, but the glass is all shattered and is not safe to use whatsoever.
no immediate plans to replace just yet - going to let them miss it for a while.
