ordered 2 new carseats/boosters (britax frontier) to replace the britax roundabouts (convertible) -- the one that was in my car was purchased for dashiell (although bren has been using it since he was old enough to be in it, and dashiell has been in the frontier (red one in back) since he was TWO. i also replaced the roundabout in mom's car, which...
i've had since matthew.  oh my.  it was old.  too old, probably, to really be "safely" used in a car.
so that one's going to go away permanently.

i gave brenny the choice of whether or not he wanted the new blue one (for my car) or the black and brown suede one for mom's car -- because amazon wasn't selling the red one anymore...i know he likes red, so i wanted to give him the choice.
what did he choose?!  he chose both the new ones, and NOT the red one!
i told derek that i totally get it...being the baby, i was used to lots of hand-me-downs.  this was his first carseat that wasn't someone else's first.  maybe he wasn't thinking that deeply into it, but nonetheless...

the base shape is a little different; dashiell's is molded more on the sides, and the cupholders can be pulled in/out.  brenny's are permanent, and he has TWO - one on each side.  the base is flatter too.  hmmm.  minor changes.

but still the best and highly rated car seat around.  they can be in it until they are 85# lbs with the harness...and up to 120lbs without (so seatbelt only).
