i missed the game today because of my run, but here are some pics that the team mom took of brenny!  =D

 that's actually the hollywood sign behind me, but it's kind of washed out in the picture.
just got done running back (away) from it.  can you tell?  i'm really hot already at this point in the race.  this would be around mile 20+ or so.

 another picture from the same spot, but zoomed in a little.  you can see the sign better and can see some runners on the path down from it.  turned around just at the base of the sign (that was mile 20, i think)

 this was maybe mile 22 or so, around the highest section of the run.  really hot and tired already by this point.  my feet were taking a pounding and my legs were tired too.  had to make the last couple of ounces of water last until mile 23, where the next full aid station was located.  i couldn't have come soon enough.

 finally made it to the end.  this is the race director, keira henninger and me.
awesome trail run, even though it was exhausting.

made it out to dashiell's game later that evening, and brenny was wearing the new shirt gramma sent to him from her trip!

[side note:
dashiell, as well as the other boys, don't often sit down well in the dugout.  he tried to climb/jump onto the bucket (to sit, as he tells me) and he slipped.  apparently he knocked his mouth and his teeth.  not sure if it was on the bucket, the ground, or the edge of the thing where they put the bats.  nonetheless he was hurting and bit embarrassed because a number of people saw him fall.  one of his permanent teeth (left front tooth) is loose as well as the baby tooth next to it.  took me a bit to console him and let him know that as long as he doesn't really move it or jiggle it too much it should be ok.  he chipped the corner of it too though.
i hope he learned his lesson and will sit nicely on his bottom from now on.]

 brennan was waiting patiently all evening for baby emma to come so he could hold and 'play' with her!

 finally got a chance to take a picture of the medal and the belt buckle that i got from the race!  =D
