so again, on a whim, i decided i wanted to do this thing again.
i better prepared myself just in case, with two plastic bags to wrap my feet in case there was knee-deep snow (but there would't be any) and a couple extra handwarmers, just in case. last time i think i actually forgot them. wth?
here we go!
less pictures along the way up this time, because i'd been there just 4 days prior.also, the path was much more visible. it didn't snow the day before (or night?) i think, and hence more visible footprints. yes!
i was even passed by a lady RUNNING up the mountain, never again to be seen by me since i was merely hiking up.
back at the junction! woo-hoo!
lots and lots of footprints everywhere today. i totally knew now that the path i took just days before was the right path to take, since i could clearly see evidence of people going that same route!
happy, happy, joy, joy!
and even the path down now had footprints, not just windblown, powdery snow
the house is somewhere there on the left, beyond, i think...
bye-bye windsock!
ugh! still have to slide down this thing!
BUT! i did manage to find a walking stick about 1/2 mi into the trail this time, which proved VERY useful in determining how deep the snow was and to help me maintain my balance.
you'll see a picture of it soon
down, down, down...
and more down...
this was the slippery, scary part. uneven and steep
this was another tough part. slippery and sliding down! whee!
the M is back there behind me somewhere. i think. pretty sure.
although not 100% positive.
maybe?
there's my trusty walking stick. it made my gloves disgustingly dirty, but i was better with it than without it.
i chose to leave it by the M in case anyone else wanted it later.
whew.
done!
later we went to currents!
the boys had lots of fun!
