 pascale and i (and diana, her sister) headed out to bols chica beach (in huntington beach) to run early this morning instead of staying around home and getting onto the riverbed for our 20mi run.
the weather cooperated and it was cloudy and a little overcast (for the first hour?)
i've never run that far down the path before, and once we passed the hb state beach, i wasn't sure where we were or what city we were in...apparently newport beach!
that just sounds soooo far away, but i guess not!
i actually ran almost 21mi...about 3 mi from finishing, i stopped to use the restroom and refill my h2o.  i either didn't stop it when i stopped, or i pushed it twice upon restarting.  needless to say, almost a mile in (so 2 mi left) i realized it was still paused.   O.o
so to make sure that my watch would read the full 20mi, i ran past where i should've stopped and turned around just in time to make the reading 20mi.
