after just a 2 hour drive, we got to san francisco. our hotel was near fisherman's wharf, which made it nice and easy for us to get to where we needed.
using our city pass (which was used for the aquarium yesterday as well), we started with our day with a cruise along the bay with the blue & gold fleet tours. we upgraded an extra $5 to have an extra 30-min tour added for more info on alcatraz.
brennan and i were mostly cold
while dashiell enjoyed listening to everything the pre-recorded tour had to say
brennan felt that the little free binoculars that they gave all kids was 'much better' than the one they got from the alaska train ride
matthew was fighting seasickness (he actually said he didn't feel too great yesterday)
then we headed to boudin's for some clam chowder in sourdough bowls!
we took a free tour of their little museum while we waited.
omg! dashiell's soup is in a turtle!
he used his knife to give it a real smile when he was done eating...
headed off to find the trolley to ride...
then we walked a bit and caught the f-line to get back to pier 15, where the exploratorium was.
the kids all begged to return here the next day...
