playing with some of his teammates before getting warmed up

 dash played catcher for the first two innings.  =)

 such a tough job!  but he has to pay attention and gets to touch the ball with every pitch, basically!

 up at bat!  kids were striking out, so he finally got to bat in the 3rd inning...and he gets a hit with an 0-2 count.  whew!

 he was able to score and was one of the 5 runs that scored before it was called (limit of 5 runs per inning).


mom and i went to eat at kabab crush, a new mediterranean food place that opened.  pretty yummy, although not cheap.  it was about a 20+min wait though...one cook and we happened to arrive when there were several people ahead of us in line.
mom had the kefta kabab (mixed ground beef and lamb with spices) with white cabbage salad and stuffed grape leaves as her side, i had the lamb kabab plus cucumber salad and hummus on the side.  we had an extra side order of falafel.
