matt started two classes at cc (illustration and comic book art) today; so we continued to take the kids to another park.
i've always wanted to go by the 'pumpkin park', that i pass on the way to costco...so here we are!
i remember bringing matthew here when he was only 1...on the other side is a wading pool -- but apparently no longer used =( i wonder why they don't fill it up anymore. maybe it's a liability issue? someone must've gotten hurt long ago...
dashiell really wanted all of us to get inside the pumpkin so we could 'talk'; i went in later (it was shady inside!) and said, 'talk talk talk talk talk!' hehe. he didn't like that.

part of the sandy area was moist, which worked well with the beach/sand toys. we were able to use the molds. i started to make a wall, which later brenny destroyed. happily.
san martin park, lakewood- location: 4 stars
- fun-factor: 4.5 stars (no benches in the shade; cool punmpkins, big playset with lots of hanging bars, slides, a tunnel; all sand, and part of it was moist which was actually a plus)
[although not unique to this park i'm sure...i found a shard of glass in the sand...started to scour for more, but didn't see anymore]
