dashiell got into some old clothes of matthew's that i had taken out, and gave this blue's clues costume to daddy...he must've wanted it on...he NEVER wants anything on his head, so this was a big surprise.doesn't he look a bit smug in this one?

absolutely terrible. didn't take a real picture today...so here's one of our basketball tickets. of course, when i decided to get these for derek as an early birthday present, i had no idea i'd be pregnant...

dashiell found matthew's old elmo slippers and decided that it would be perfect for 87 degree weather.

matthew working hard at blocking the other team...not sure exactly why...but partway through the 1st quarter he was switched from his usual left nose guard (is that right? or just left guard...?) to the right side...
this isn't matthew. he doesn't catch the ball. ;-p
this is adalpa catching the ball late in the 4th quarter. we were down by 2 TDs, and he made it only a 1td game.

coming off the field at the end...when our offense was on the field it really wasn't that bad. again, matthew's blue squad were the only ones to score. not sure if the red team has scored all season yet. =( specail teams didn't do so hot. 2 times on kick off return, we gave them the ball right back. that part of it was bad..congrats for a good game...
guess who worked so hard and made some good blocks for #1 covington?! matthew!!! he earned the game ball for the first time this season!!!

had his 18 month check up today. got his first flu shot along with his immunization shots...and had to have blood drawn to check to see if his iron levels are still ok...had a terrible lab tech who had to poke him FIVE times till they got it right. poor thing.

for whatever reason he was flipping his cars over...and saying, "uh-oh"...
then staring at it...
dashiell ran into matthew's room and grabbed grandpa panda out and started riding/carrying him around...
then straight into the corner where the door is...i'm not quite sure why.
then he grabbed onto one of his little people and started to pull on her arms...like he wanted to rip her apart or something...

so i leave the boys home today, and this is what dashiell does...colors the wall and the bottom of the kitty tree. daddy claims to never have found the crayon...hmmm...
while making mac and cheese dinner for the boys, i had matthew put on a backyardigans episode, and here they are watching the show together.
