i'm taking a weekend class at ucla and this was the first of four (full) days that i had to spend in haines hall. that's a picture of the quad--royce is on the far side, with haines on the (closer) right side. unfortunately, no camera with me. just the crappy camera phone.

figgy stealing 2nd. didn't actually score here in the 8th, but rather in the bottom of the 9th. figgy was 6 for 6 tonight! [tied AL record for most hits in 9 innings] he got the walk off hit, with willits running in for the winning run. woo-hoo!

a really lousy picture of the day. basically didn't get one till late. derek's math dept at sage hill had their annual dinner--this time it was the cheesecake factory in fashion island/newport. but before we went, we HAD to stop off at sprinkles. i wanted him to take a picture of me in front of the sprinkles store, but he wouldn't. =(
so here's a picture of the cheesecake we brought home (because we were too full to eat anymore!) i picked the vanilla bean cheesecake.

the kids played hard though. this was their SIXTH game in EIGHT days!
