dashiell HAD to roll matthew's backpack all the way home. then of course, i had to take it to carry it up the stairs. oh my goodness. he was SOOO MAD at me for that. matthew stayed down with him while i lugged the heavy bag up, and dashiell was BAWLING and sprawled on the floor below. i got back after putting all the stuff inside and he was still upset. he had to roll i t in the door, through the baby gate, and into matthew's room. but of course, i had to tell him that was enough so matthew could get his homework started. again, he was furious. the only thing that calmed him down?

what a stinker.
happy birthdaym, da-ee!we went out to red robin for a quick birthday dinner, and then had cold stone sweet cream and cookie dough cake. yummy.
