dashiell had a big day today, filled with good and bad things...
this first one is a not-so-good milestone.
he made a stairstep over by the baby gate.
this was actually NOT the first time he did this.
just the first time we were able to get it on camera.
this was the biggie for the day. yesterday he went around pulling and tugging on his diapers and pants, even pulling them off. we have it on video, but it's too big i think to upload. maybe i'll try later.
so i figured it should be time to buy him a potty seat of his own. i never did with matthew, because he never seemed interested. this l'il guy however, seemed to notice when he was wet.
so i got home with the seat from babies r us, and showed it to him.
this is him just sitting on it for the first time.

this was taken about an hour or so after the first picture above, i brought it out of the bathroom, because i figured he wouldn't actually have access to it because of the baby gate. he seemed interested in sitting on it, so we took off the pants and diapers and he sat down.
and guess what?! he actually peed in it!! WOO-HOO!
he did it 2 more times after that, too.
AMAZING.

we praised him a lot and gave him a bunch of hugs and high-fives. Go Dashiell!
