at our end of the year faculty breakfast this morning, my friend joy 'kidnapped' brennan from me. every time i came near to check on him to make sure he was okay and that she didn't mind holding him, she said, "go away, mommy!" and even an occassional, "shhh, baby. it's okay. mommy's not there!"

she needs some grandbabies, i think!
