matt's team played the dodgers
this is the bottom of the 5th inning, tied at 5-5. matthew is the first batter up.
he hits a line drive right between 2nd and the shortstop. he starts the team off with a nice base hit~
a couple more hits follow, and he's able to move around the bases.
then he scores! the cubbies scored 4 runs this inning, with matt leading them off! =)the cubs were able to hold off the dodgers in the top of the 6th, to win the game 8-9.

derek, dashiell and i headed off to ikea in the afternoon, to get a chair, lamp, and rug for the spot where bren's crib used to be. *sniff-sniff*
dashiell took assembling the chair very seriously.
brennan's not so serious this time
(no finished picture yet, because i was not happy with the rug nor the lamps. we went back to ikea...i got a new lamp, and got a rug from another store. pictures to come...)
