so we ended a bit earlier today (3pm) and i went with a 3 others, derek swem, alice li, and daniela c, around the capitol and to old town.

there was a cathedral nearby that i wanted to take a look at.  really nice looking.

too bad my camera wasn't charged, so i had to settle for everything on my iphone.  =/

later that evening, we had dinner at gallagher's (the bar next to the boiler room, some highly rated restaurant) and had their happy hour fare -- calamari and a drink for $7!  not too bad and quite yummy.
later we went by to see the mermaids at the dive bar.
we went in, saw them, and left =p

then back at the citizen hotel...
we went to see the bathroom up in the area above the lobby, which was part of their upstairs bar, the scandal.

 we tried to get access to the roof, but were unable to.  so up on the 14th floor were these cozy couches that i just had to lie down on.

back downstairs, the ladies i was hanging out with for the evening and i took a group picture:

after this, we went back to our rooms and crashed...
(well, i watched TV for an hour or so first...)
