legoland trip today!!
brennan wasn't too scared to meet the lego man this time!
we then promptly went to the water park.
we spent about 4 1/2 hours there! holy cow!
and i would say 4 of those hours were spent in the water.
we started off by riding the raft 'orange rush' two times, then through the lazy river two times also.
then they played in the slide area. for a l.o.n.g. time.
brennan went down one of the slides (tube-like one) EIGHT times in a row.
he was in love with the slides.
i simply had to spend a lot of time going back and forth from left to right, making sure i was at the bottom on the way down.
we ended up also going down the raft THREE more times in a row!
(there were alos several others squished and dead that he saw. oops)
EDIT:
so i searched online, and this is a mourning cloak caterpillar...
which, believe it or not turns into the mourning cloak butterfly!
that's not the most interesting part...which is that it is the Montana State Butterfly!
we're going to have to look more closely for these butterflies next time.
there were A LOT of them around the fairy tale brook area. Wonder if we can bring some home next time. Hmmm...
this is what i get for asking them to both look at me and smile.
he wouldn't let me "drive", either.
we went through the aquarium, again, and then headed to panda express for dinner.
i decided we needed to eat in, so that the kids wouldn't fall asleep eating in the car.
good thing, because they both ate a lot...
brenny ate all the honey (walnut) shrimp on his plate with noodles, plus 3 of mine; dashiell ate all of the orange chicken on his plate, plus 6 pieces from brennan/nana's plate.
once in the car, brennan was asleep in less than 10 minutes. dashiell fell asleep about 20+ minutes later.
derek carried them both in, and they are still sleeping.
WHAT A GREAT DAY!
