pre-race.  

we had to drive to the finish line and then take a shuttle to the start.  it was already warm, which was no bueno.

post race.  whew.  it was hot.  glad i finished.

walking back to the car...there was a rose garden as well as a cactus garden.
this was a strange looking cactus!

we stopped to have lunch in san clemente
